Miami welcomes WCA Conference
The WCA Network’s Sino-Americas Regional Conference comes to Miami on June 20th-23rd. Consisting of over 5800 member offices in 187 countries, the WCA network is the largest and most powerful organization of independent freight forwarders. WTDC will be meeting with agent partners from Brazil, China, Colombia, France, Italy, Netherlands, Saudi Arabia, Scotland, Spain, and Vietnam, among others.

Cuba-US update: Senate bill and Papal visit
Last week Senators Angus King (I-Maine) and Jerry Moran (R-Kansas) introduced a bill to lift the embargo, especially as it pertains to agriculture and farming interests, and enable extensions of credit to Cuba.
Pope Francis will visit the cities of Havana, Holguin, and El Cobre, during his visit to Cuba from the 19th-22nd of September. Pope Francis was an integral part of opening the dialogue between the United States and Cuba.

WTDC welcomes 2 new Interns
We are pleased to introduce two new Interns at WTDC: Mr. Felipe Angulo from Florida International University (FIU) and Ms. Argiroth Lizardi from Miami Dade College (MDC). Mr. Angulo and Ms. Lizardi are both working in Operations Customer Service. WTDC has worked with 45 student Interns over the last 5 years, preparing them for careers in management and logistics.
